The best cowboys and cowgirls of the Northern Rodeo Association will duke out at the Butte Civic Center the next three nights in the National Rodeo Finals.
The rodeo features the top 10 contestants from each event as determined from 30 rodeos from throughout 2012. Many of the contestants will also compete in the National Rodeo Finals later this year in Las Vegas.
The NRF will be in town for the second straight year after moving to the Mining City after a 36-year run in Billings.
The rodeo will feature Miss Rodeo Montana Mariah Rys-Sikora and rodeo clown “Danger” Dave Whitmoyer. Jason Miller, the 2007 steer wrestling world champion, is also in town. Miller, who isn’t competing, will be around for fans to meet.
