BILLINGS — Quarterback Jacob Bakken earned the NAIA’s National Football Offensive Player of the Week award as announced by the NAIA’s national office.

The senior quarterback from Wibaux. threw for 423 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-10 victory over the Mountaineers Saturday afternoon. The No. 11 ranked Battlin’ Bears won their eighth game of the season and are currently the leader in a tight Frontier Conference.

Bakken has thrown 35 touchdowns on the season and moved past the 3,000 yard mark during Saturday’s game.

The Battlin’ Bears will host Montana Tech Saturday in the final game of the 2018 regular season. The game will start at noon at Herb Klindt Field.
