Rocky women’s basketball team adds Havre twins

BILLINGS — Rocky Mountain College women’s basketball coach Wes Keller announced today that twin sisters Morgan and Tori Mazurkiewicz (Maz-ah-k-vich) of Havre High School have signed NAIA letters of intent.

Morgan is a four-time varsity letter winner as well as Academic All-State recipient in both basketball and softball. She earned All-Conference honors as well as being named to the Class A State All-Tournament team three-straight seasons.

She helped lead the Blue Ponies to four consecutive Central A Divisional championships as well as to the 2014 State Class A championship.

On the season Morgan, a 5-foot-4 guard, averaged nearly 17 points a game, while shooting 46 percent from 2-point land and 38 percent from the 3-point line. She shot nearly 80 percent from the free throw line. She averaged five assists, three steals and four rebounds a game. Her efforts earned her being named to the 2015 Class A All-State team.

Tori, also a 5-foot-4 guard, earned four varsity basketball letters. She was a four-time Academic All-State and two-time All-Conference player for Coach Dustin Kraske’s Blue Ponies. She earned two letters in softball and cross-country, and was a member of the 2014 State title team as well as the four divisional championships.

Tori was sidelined much of her senior season due to injury.

“Morgan and Tori are both excellent students with outstanding work ethics,” Keller said. “We are excited to have them join our program.”
