The Frontier Conference volleyball tournament in the Montana Tech HPER Complex saw its fourth straight sweep as Rocky Mountain rolled past Lewis-Clark State Saturday morning in the semifinal round.
The Bears won by scores of 25-20, 20-18, 20-15. Hailey Copinga zinged 10 kills to lead the Rocky Mountain attack as Natalie Hilderman set 26 assists. Copinga also had 16 digs and Miranda Gallagher was in on eight blocks. The Bears will take a 28-3 season record into the 7 p.m. championship match against either Providence-Great Falls or Montana Tech, which were to play in an afternoon semifinal.
Lewis-Clark State bowed out of the tourney with an 18-9 record for the year. Rachel Gregg hit 10 kills to lead the Warriors Saturday morning. Lauren West had 31 assists. The team totaled 66 digs in the three games with 15 each by Jordan Phelan and Gionni Brown.
