BILLINGS — Rocky Mountain College basketball coaches Bill Drekiosen and Wes Keller each announced signings of Montana athletes today.
Drekiosen announced the addition of Billings West standout Logan Meyer to the Rocky men’s program. Keller said Sasha Coffee of Box Elder has joined the women’s program.
Meyer, a 6-foot-1 guard, averaged 10.2 points per game as a senior for the Golden Bears this past season. He also earned honorable mention Eastern AA and academic All-State honors.
“We are excited to have Logan joining our basketball program,” Dreikosen said. “He is an excellent shooter with deep range and is a physical guard that plays hard. Logan understands what it takes to win and has demonstrated that he is not afraid to take and make big shots to win games. We look forward to working with him and watching him grow in our program.”
Meyer plans to earn a health and human performance degree and carries a 3.2 GPA.
Coffee, a 5-5 guard from Rocky Boy High School, helped lead the Morning Stars to district and divisional championships. As a senior, she averaged nine points and 2.7 steal per contest.
“Sasha came highly recommended by two different coaches within her conference that competed against her during her time at Rocky Boy,” Keller said. “She has great range as a shooter and can handle the ball like a point guard. She’s proven herself to be a dedicated student and was recognized as one of the leaders in her school, both on and off the court. We are excited to have her join our program.”
Coffee is the daughter of Billie Jo and Carter Coffee. She carries a 3.9 GPA and plans to earn a psychology degree.
“I chose Rocky because I get to continue my basketball playing career and doing what I love,” Coffee said. “It is a very nice school and a great place to further my education.”
