BILLINGS — Beau Santistevan, a 6-foot-7 forward, signed an NAIA National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Rocky Mountain College men’s team, the school announced today.
The signing comes after the Big Fork native played the last two seasons for coach Joe Peterson at Dawson Community College in Glendive.
Santistevan averaged 13 points and seven rebounds per game while helping lead the Buccaneers to a 27-7 record. Dawson won the NJCAA Region 13 Conference an tournament championship.
“Rocky Mountain College men’s basketball just got better today,” Rocky coach Bill Driekosen said in a statement. “The best way to describe Beau is a ‘proven winner.’”
Santistevan, who shot 51 percent from the field and 76 percent from the free throw line, led Big Fork to the 2018 Class B state championship. That season, Santistevan earned first-team Academic All-American honors with a 3.98 GPA.
