OMAHA, Neb. — Rob Johnson hit a two-run home run Sunday to help the Memphis Redbirds complete a sweep of the Omaha Storm Chasers in a Pacific Coast League doubleheader.
Johnson, a Butte native, belted his fifth home run of the season in the sixth inning of the 5-0 victory. He went 1 for 2 with two runs scored and a walk to raise his batting average to .214 on the season.
Johnson caught both ends of the twin bill (minor league doubleheader games are seven innings). He went 0 for 2 with two walks in the 7-0 win in Game 1.
The first-place Redbirds play at Omaha again Monday and Tuesday. After a day off on Wednesday, Memphis returns home for a four-game series with Nashville.
