DILLON — The Bitterroot Red Sox edged the Butte Miners 6-5 on Friday, the second day of the Maybelle Arthur Tournament.

Garrich Richardson went  for 4 with a double to lead the Red Sox in the win. He also pitched the distance, striking out three, walking five and scattering seven hits.

Garrett Hunt and Cole Chavez also doubled. Hunt knocked in two runs.

Bryson Henningsen hit a double and a single while driving in two runs to lead the Muckers. Liam Summer hit two singles, and Ryan Wahl, Dylan Sestrich and Cameron Johnson each added singles for Butte in the loss.

Johnson and Schultz each pitched three innings in the losing effort.

The Muckers will wrap up pool play with two games on Saturday. Butte will play Mission Valley at 10 a.m. before taking on the Missoula Pioneers at 3 p.m.
