HELENA — Nic Raiser and Joby Rosenleaf posted the best times 0f the Butte High runners completing at the Capital City 7 of 7 Invitational Thursday.
Butte Central’s Brian McGeehan was pretty fast, too.
Raiser, a senior, placed 19th in the race of No. 1 runners. He finished the 3-mile course in 16 minutes, 23 seconds. Marshall Beatty of Missoula Sentinel won that race in 15:04.
The meet featured seven races for the boys and girls.
Bulldog Austin Gerry placed 25th in the No 2 race in 17:42, while Seth Grant took 26th in the No. 3 race in 18:16.
McGeehan, a sophomore, placed 13th in the No. 3 race with a time of 17:08.
Also for Butte High, Kyle Konda (18:18) took 22nd in the No. 4 race, Gunther Clark (18:53) placed 19th in the No. 5 race, Erik Casagranda (18:56) finished 17th in the No. 6 race, and Kasey Krzan (18:59) took 15th in the No. 7.
Butte Central saw Zach Carlson (18:54) took 29th in the No. 4 race, while Theron Nelson (19:24) took 28th in the No. 5, Nathaon Ortega (20:16) finished 29th in the No. 6, and Ian Campbell (21:32) crossed in 32nd in the No. 7.
Rosenleaf, a Butte High junior placed 19th in the No. 1 race in 20:19. Kalsipell Glacier star Annie Hill win the race in 16:44.
In the No. 2 race, Cati Carmody of Butte High placed 18th in 20:32, and teammate Rosie Real finished 25th in the No. 3 race in 22:35.
Also for Butte High, Sydney Pendergast (24:44) took 32nd in the No. 4 race, Abby Burke (23:17) placed 26th in the No. 5, Maya Robins (24:16) finished 23rd at No. 6, and Sheridan Hafer (24:33) finished 24th in the No. 7.
Butte Central’s lone girl runner, Abby McGee, posted a time of 22:24, which was good for 19th place in the No. 5 race.
