Rachael McGree wins divisional long jump

DILLON — Butte Central’s Rachael McGree jumped to a divisional title Friday.

The Butte Central freshman jumped 16 feet, 11 1/4 inches to win the long jump at the Southwestern A Divisional track and field meet at Vigilante Field.

The leap beat second-place finisher Annika Moore of Hamilton by three and a half inches as McGree got off a big jump in advance of next week’s Class A State meet in Butte.

Corvallis leads at 120. Dillon is next at 50, followed by Hamilton at 41.
