WHITEFISH — The Frontier Conference awarded Player of the Week awards for football and volleyball on Monday.

Football
Offensive Player of the Week: Nick Calzaretta, College of Idaho
Calzaretta is a 5-foot-11, 205-pound senior running back from Larkspur, California. In No. 19 College of Idaho’s 42-14 opening season road win over MSU-Northern, Calzaretta rushed for 207 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Also nominated: Tony Collins of Carroll College, Blake Counts of Montana Tech, Nathan Dick of Rocky Mountain College, Jordan Eggers of Eastern Oregon and Reese Neville of Montana Western.

Defensive Player of the Week: Dylan Martinez, College of Idaho
Martinez is a 6-2, 210-pound junior linebacker from Boise, Idaho. In No. 19 College of Idaho’s 42-14 opening season road win over MSU-Northern, Martinez recorded 10 solo tackles, five assisted tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss (-8 yards), one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Also nominated: Reese Artz of Montana Western, Zak Donato of Eastern Oregon, Rex Irby of Carroll College, Ty Reynolds of Rocky Mountain College and Spencer Schock of Montana Tech.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Zachary Cahill of Eastern Oregon
Cahill is a 6-foot, 185-pound redshirt junior kicker/punter from Boise, Idaho. In No. 18 Eastern Oregon’s 26-24 opening season conference road win over Montana Tech, Cahill was 4 of 4 in field goals with two coming from 40-plus yards and 2 for 2 in PAT’s. Cahill kicked the game winning 42-yard field goal in the final minute. Also nominated: Wyatt Brusven of Rocky Mountain College and Mark Estes of Montana Tech.

Volleyball
Attacker of the Week: Elizabeth Heuiser, Carroll College

Heuiser is a 6-foot, freshman middle hitter from Helena. (RV) Carroll College went 2-2 at the College of Idaho/Eastern Oregon Fall Classic. The Saints beat College of Idaho 3-0, the Master’s University 3-0 and lost to No.14 Eastern Oregon 3-0 and No. 5 Dordt University (Iowa) 3-1. Heuiser averaged 3.10 kills with an attack percentage of .400. She recorded service aces and seven assisted blocks. Also nominated: Morgan Allen of Rocky Mountain College, Alana Graves of MSU-Northern and Danyel Martin of Montana Western.

Defender of the Week: Taelyr Krantz, Carroll College
Krantz is a 6-foot senior outside hitter from Helena. (RV) Carroll College went 2-2 at the College of Idaho/Eastern Oregon Fall Classic. The Saints beat College of Idaho 3-0, the Master’s University 3-0 and lost to No.14 Eastern Oregon 3-0 and No. 5 Dordt University (Iowa) 3-1. Krantz recorded four solo blocks and 23 assisted blocks. Also nominated: Ayla Embry of Rocky Mountain College, Kelsey Goddard of Montana Western and Shania Neubauer of MSU-Northern.

Setter of the Week: Emily Feller, MSU-Northern
Feller is a 5-foot-10 freshman setter/outside hitter from Helena, Mont. MSU-Northern went 2-2 at the Firestorm Volleyball Classic in Chandler, Ariz. The Skylights beat former conference rival Lewis-Clark State 3-1 and Valley City State (N.D.) 3-1, and lost to (RV) Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) 3-0 and Arizona Christian (3-0). Feller averaged 8.06 assists and 3.11 digs per set. Also nominated: Kylie Kackman of Carroll College, Abbey Schwager of Montana Western and Blythe Sealey of Rocky Mountain College.
