WHITEFISH — Rocky Mountain College and University of Providence student-athletes selected Frontier Conference Volleyball Player of the Week awards, the league announced Monday.

Attacker of the Week: Sadie Lott, Providence
Lott is a 5-foot-9, freshman middle blocker from Idaho Falls. No. 14 Providence opened the 2021 season by going 4-0 at the Big Sky Volleyball Classic. The Argos beat No. 8 Grand View University 3-0, No. 6 Eastern Oregon 3-2, Dickinson State 3-0 and Northwest University 3-0. Lott averaged 3.68 kills with an attack percentage of .378. She also averaged 3.2 digs per set. Also nominated: Morgan Allen of Rocky Mountain College, Alana Graves of MSU-Northern, Taylor Henley of Montana Tech and Taelyr Krantz of Carroll College.

Defender of the Week: Ayla Embry, Rocky Mountain College
Embry is a 5-foot-4 junior libero from Bozeman. Rocky opened the 2021 season by going 3-1 at the Big Sky Volleyball Classic. The Bears beat No. 8 Grand View University 3-2, Dickinson State 3-1, Northwest University 3-1 and a 3-0 loss to No. 6 Eastern Oregon. Embry averaged 8.14 digs per set. Also nominated: Elizabeth Heuiser of Carroll College, Sarah Hopcroft of Montana Tech and Sacha Legros of Providence.

Setter of the Week: Cydney Finberg-Roberts, Providence
Finberg-Roberts is a 5-foot-11 RS/junior setter from Columbia Falls. No. 14 Providence opened the 2021 season by going 4-0 at the Big Sky Volleyball Classic. The Argos beat No. 8 Grand View University 3-0, No. 6 Eastern Oregon 3-2, Dickinson State 3-0 and Northwest University 3-0. Finberg-Roberts averaged 11.21 assists, 3.93 digs per set and recorded five assisted blocks and one solo block. Also nominated: Kylie Kackman of Carroll College, McKenna Kaelber of Montana Tech and Blythe Sealey of Rocky Mountain College.
