WHITEFISH — Rocky Mountain College and University of Providence student-athletes selected Frontier Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, the league announced today.
Attacker of the Week: Renae Davis, University of Providence, is a 5-foot-8 senior setter from Pleasant View, Utah. No. 24 Providence went 2-0 in their weekend road series against Montana Western. The Argos won 3-2 Friday and 3-0 Saturday afternoon.
Davis averaged 3.75 kills with an attack percentage of .407. Also nominated: Madde Boles of Carroll College, Karina Mickelson of Montana Tech, and Weiying Wu of Rocky Mountain College.
Defender of the Week: Ayla Embry, Rocky Mountain College, is a 5-4 sophomore libero from Bozeman. No. 18 Rocky Mountain swept their home series against MSU-Northern, winning Saturday 3-0 and Sunday 3-0. Embry averaged six digs per set. Also nominated: Sacha Legros of the University of Providence, Mara Lynch of Carroll College and Hannah Oggerino of Montana Tech.
Setter of the Week: Cydney Finberg-Roberts of the University of Providence, is a 5-11 junior setter from Columbia Falls. No. 24 Providence went 2-0 in its weekend road series against Montana Western. The Argos won 3-2 Friday and 3-0 Saturday afternoon. Finberg-Roberts averaged 13 assists and 2.50 digs per set. Also nominated: Natalie Hilderman of Rocky Mountain College, Kamaile Moody of Montana Tech and Ali Williams of Carroll College.
