FAIRBANKS, Alaska — A trip way up north didn’t cool down Quinn Peoples and the MSU-Billings Yellowjackets.
Peoples, a sophomore who graduated from Butte Central in 2011, scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a reserve role Thursday night to help lead the MSU-Billings women’s basketball team to a 70-50 win over Alaska Fairbanks in a Great Northwestern Athletic Conference game.
The Yellowjackets improved to 15-5 overall and 9-3 in conference play with their fourth straight win.
Monica Grimsrud scored 12 points to pace the Yellowjackets, who led the Nanooks 40-22 at halftime.
MSU-Billings will play at Alaska Anchorage on Saturday. The Yellowjackets beat the Seawolves 78-68 earlier this season in Billings.
