Peoples scores 23 in MSU-B win

BILLINGS — Butte native Quinn Peoples had a career night Friday as the MSU-Billings women’s basketball team rolled to a 102-78 win over the University of Great Falls.

Peoples tied career highs with five 3-pointers and 23 points for the Yellowjackets in front of a packed house at Alterowitz Gymnasium for “Throwback Night.”

“Quinn Peoples was tremendous tonight and gave us a great game,” MSU-B coach Kevin Woodin said.

Peoples, a junior, now has 106 career 3-pionters. That ranks her eighth all time at MSU-B.

Kayleen Goggins added 21 points for MSU-B, while Chelsea Banis tossed in 17, Annie DePuydt netted 13 and Alisha Breen scored 11.

Erin Legel scored 21 to lead Great Falls in the non-conference game.

The Yellowjackets (3-2) play host to Rocky Mountain College on Monday.
