Peoples scores 14 in MSU-B win

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Quinn Peoples came off the bench to hit four 3-pointers and score 14 points to help the MSU-Billings women’s basketball team to an 85-65 victory over Central Washington Saturday.

Peoples, a 2011 Butte Central graduate and sophomore for the Yellowjackets, also grabbed four rebounds in the win.

Bobbi Knudsen scored a team-leading 19 points, while Janiel Olson posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The win in the regular-season finale gave the Yellowjackets a 17-9 overall record. MSU-B finished the Great Northwest Athletic Conference at 11-7.

The Yellowjackets are the No. 3 seed in the GNAC tournament, which begins Wednesday in at Seattle Pacific University in Lacey, Wash.

Peoples averaged 7.3 points per game. She started 12 games and averaged 20.5 minutes per contest.
