Panthers down Bulldogs at Stodden Park

The weather was nearly perfect as Butte High’s tennis teams saw its only home action of the season Friday at Stodden Park.

Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, the Belgrade Panthers won all the matches.

Belgrade’s girls topped Butte High 8-0 in the dual that was a late addition to the schedule. Belgrade also won the two boys’ singles matches.

The match of the day saw Butte High’s Brooke McGrath and Ayrika Gerry fall in 2-6, 7-5, 10-6 thriller to Ava Wagner and Alianza Zwang at No. 1 doubles.

The event closed the book on the regular season for the Bulldogs, who will head to Missoula for the divisional tournament next Thursday and Friday.
