THREE FORKS — The Butte Muckers opened the season with a pair of losses to Gallatin Valley B Saturday.

Gallatin Valley won the opener 10-9 before completing the sweep with an 11-1 victory.

The Muckers will play at Helena B on Friday before playing their first home games Saturday against Anaconda.

Game 1

Colten Hayder tripled to highlight the Outlaws’ nine-hit attack in the opener.

Lucas Harris-Huerta hit a double and a single, and Trey Hansen smacked two singles to lead the Muckers. Both drove in two runs. Derek Dunmire singled, walked twice and drove in a run from the leadoff spot. Jacob Tauscher added a single.

Zach O’Connell fanned five batters on the bump.

Game 2
Gallatin Valley Outlaws B 11, Butte Muckers 1 (Boxscore)
Hayder got the start and stuck out 13 batters in five innings. The game was called after five by the 10-run rule.

Hayder walked one and scattered two hits. Tyler Duffy and Dunmire hit singles for Butte. Hansen worked a walk.
