HAVRE — Make it five in a row for the Montana Tech volleyball team.
The No. 17 Orediggers swept past MSU-Northern 25-20, 26-24, 25-18 Thursday night to extend their winning streak. All five wins have come in Frontier Conference play as the Orediggers improved to 5-0 in league play and 12-5 overall. Stats
Haley Druyvestein tallied 12 kills to lead the way as Montana Tech outkilled the Skylights 48-29.
Nicole Peackok and Angela Molesworth added eight kills in Tech’s balanced attack. Heather Thompson and Gena McMillan each killed six, and Masha Korol smashed five.
Kamile Moody dished up eight assists in the win, while Peacock collected a team-best 15 digs. Sabrina Hopcroft (12) and Tori Chelini (11) joined Peacock with double digit digs.
Cassie Krueger spiked 10 kills to lead the Skylights, who fell to 2-3 and 8-11. Butte High graduate Hannah Amtmann collected a match-high 25 digs.
The Orediggers will have to wait a week to shoot for their sixth straight win. Tech’s next match is Oct. 6 at home against Providence-Great Falls.
