Orediggers win two more

HELENA — Montana Tech got right back in the win column Friday.

The Oredigger volleyball team bounced from Thursday’s non-conference loss to Carroll College for two victories during the Carroll tournament at the P.E. Center.

Tech beat Minot State in four games before sweeping past the University of Mary.

Jordan Danz tallied nine kills to pace the Orediggers in their 29-27, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20 win over Mint. Korey Krumm added eight kills, while Kimmy Kavran served four aces and collected 11 digs. Allison Lunde handed out 16 assists.

In the 26-24, 25-23, 25-18 win over Mary, Sydney Norris and Bailie Cortner each killed six to lead the way. Krumm, Annie Smoot and Danz each killed five.

The Orediggers have now won 10 of 11 matches. Tech (10-3) opens Frontier Conference play at Lewis-Clark State next Friday.
