Orediggers spike Blue Hawks

Montana Tech’s volleyball team didn’t waste any time Friday night.

The Orediggers bounced back from Thursday’s loss to Rocky Mountain College and made short work of Dickinson State, sweeping the Blue Hawks 21-11, 21-10, 21-12 in a Frontier Conference match at the HPER Complex.

Annie Smoot tallied nine kills to lead the Orediggers, who improved to 13-5 overall and 3-2 in conference. Korey Krumm killed eight, while Haley Druyvestein and Samantha Hutcheson each killed six.

Mackenzie Bauck and Alison Lunde each dished out 19 assists for the Orediggers, who got 13 digs from Sydney Norris. Kimmy Kavran dug 10.

The Orediggers play MSU-Northern and Lewis-Clark State at home next weekend.
