DILLON — Montana Tech’s volleyball team improved to 6-1 Wednesday with a 25-7, 25-13, 25-12 beating of Walla Walla University at the Straugh Gymnasium.
The victory gave first-year Tech head coach Brian Solomon his 100th career victory. Most of those wins came at Columbia (S.C.) College.
Kimmy Kavran and Sydney Norris set the tone for the Orediggers early, and the team never looked back. Montana Western also beat Walla Walla in three games, winning 25-6, 25-7, 25-9 following the match with Tech. The Orediggers knocked off Western in four games last week in a non-conference match.
The Orediggers will now head to Houston for a tournament starting Tuesday.
