Orediggers Kaelber, Jessop take home league honors

WHITEFISH — Montana Tech volleyball players Maureen Jessop and McKenna Kaelber took home weekly Frontier Conference honors, the school announced today.

Jessop was named Attacker of the Week, while Kaelber took home Setter of the Week honors for the third straight week.

The No. 19 Orediggers played two matches last week. Tech swept Montana Western on the road in Dillon on Wednesday. The Orediggers finished the week off at home with another sweep downing MSU-Northern.

Jessop, a 6-foot-1 junior outside hitter from Corvallis, averaged 4.0 kills per set and a .279 hitting percentage. Jessop posted 10 kills against the Bulldogs and 14 against the Skylights. She hit for .414 against the MSU-Northern.

Kaelber, a 5-11 junior, averaged 9.5 assists and 1.5 digs in the two matches. Kaelber had a season high 52 assists against Rocky on Saturday night.

The Orediggers are playing non-conference matches this weekend. Tech travels to Des Moines, Iowa for the Grand View Volleyball Tournament.
