Quinn McQueary passed for 327 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Orediggers to 3-0 on the season. But it was the play of Rocky junior quarterback Jacob Bakken in the second half that had Oredigger fans sweating.
Bakken directed four second-half touchdown drives to make it a ballgame. Bakken passed for 213 yards and two touchdowns. Mason Melby added 75 yards and two scores on the ground for Rocky, which fell to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the Frontier.
McQueary, who ran for two scores, threw TD passes to Dion Williams, Chris Kelly and Sean Sullivan.
Williams hauled in six passes for 161 yards. That includes a 75-yard bomb. Kelly Caught seven passes, while Sullivan caught six.
Jed Fike ran for 142 yards on 26 carries.
The Orediggers are back at home next Saturday to take on Eastern Oregon.
