Orediggers finish off Hope in four-set match

FULLERTON, Calif. — The Orediggers are 2 for 2 on their trip through California.

Montana Tech’s volleyball team knocked off Hope International 23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-15 in a non-conference match Friday night.

Bailie Cortner and Jordan Danz each tallied 15 kills, and Katie Wiley killed 11 to lead the Orediggers out killed Hope 56-47. Genna McMillan added nine kills, and Makenzie Bauck served up 52 of Tech’s 53 assists.

Sabrina Hopcroft collected 17 digs to lead four Orediggers in that category. Nicole Peacock added 16 digs, while Bauck dug 13 and Danz dug 10.

Kierra Pearson’s 17 kills paced Hope, which got 13 kills from Katie Landazuri.

The Orediggers will play Vanguard in Costa Mesa Saturday afternoon. The te team will travel to San Dimas to take on Life Pacific College.
