Orediggers coming home

It will seem like old times on the Montana Tech campus this weekend.

Montana Tech women’s basketball coach Kerie DePell and the Orediggers are hosting an alumni reunion in conjunction with the start of their season.

The Orediggers play host to South Dakota Tech in their first game Friday night. They’ll play Montana Western in a non-conference game on Saturday.

The busy Tech weekend also includes a men’s basketball game on Friday night, a Tech volleyball game against Dickinson State on Saturday, the Orediggers football game against MSU-Northern on Saturday.

More than 40 former Tech women’s basketball and volleyball players and coaches are confirmed to join the celebration, which highlights the back-to-back Frontier Conference championship basketball teams of  the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons.

Saturday features an alumni game at 9:30 at the Montana Tech HPER Complex. It also includes a luncheon on Saturday.

DePell said she hopes to make the weekend an annual event.
