The Montana Tech women’s track & field team travel five Oredigger student-athletes to Gulf Shores, Alabama for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships slated for this Wednesday through Friday.
Jenna Jordan will kick things off for the Orediggers in the javelin on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Jordan comes in ranked tenth, aiming to move into the top eight which garners a NAIA All-American spot.
Becca Richtman is taking on three events. The senior starts her championship run on Wednesday with the 3,000 meter steeplechase preliminary at 8:40 p.m., followed closely by the 10,000 meter final at 9:30 p.m. She comes in ranked second in the steeplechase and ninth in the 10,000. She is also the defending champion in the steeplechase. The steeple chase final is Friday at 2 p.m.
Richtman competes in the 5,000 meter preliminary at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. The final for the 5,000 meter is Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Naiya Beaudin competes in the triple jump at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday as well.
On Friday, Tristen Sedgwick will compete in the discus at 1:00 p.m. Abby Clark has the high jump at 2:00 p.m.

The Orediggers are competing in their first national championship meet as a team. The Orediggers won the Frontier Conference Championship this year.
