Oredigger volleyball team rolls record to 11-2

SALINA, Kansas — The Montana Tech volleyball team is 11-2 on the season after winning a pair of four-set matches Sunday at the Kansas Wesleyan Labor Day Tournament.

The Orediggers went 4-0 at the tournament.

Tech beat Briar Cliff University 25-23, 18-25, 26-24, 25-13 before knocking off host Kansas Wesleyan 25-16, 27-29, 25-12, 25-16.

Bailie Cortner tallied 18 kills in the win over Briar Cliff. Jordan Danz (12 kills) and Haley Druyvestein (10) also reached double figures in that category. Makenzie Bauck dished out 48 assists, while Angie Pancost (17) and Sydney Norris (13) combined for 30 digs.

Norris and Danz led the way with 12 kills in the win over Wesleyan. Druyvestein killed 11, while Bauck tallied 39 assists. Pancost (19), Norris (15) and Danz (12) reached double figures in digs.

The Orediggers have one more tournament before opening Frontier Conference play at Rocky Mountain College on Sept. 17. They play at the Five Points Bank Invitational in Hastings, Nebraska, Friday and Saturday.
