KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Montana Tech Orediggers fell one spot to No. 15 in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll release today.

The Orediggers (19-7, 9-1) were No. 14 in the last bi-weekly poll released on October 17th. During the two week period, Montana Tech went 3-1 losing their first conference match of the season to unranked Carroll College. The Saints snapped the Orediggers eight-match winning streak. Tech defeated Lewis Clark State, Montana Western and then-No. 21 Rocky Mountain.

Montana Tech is the highest ranked team in the Frontier Conference and are two games ahead of Rocky and Carroll in the league standings.

Rocky Mountain is the only other Frontier Conference school in the national poll. The Battlin’ Bears fell to No. 23 after going 2-2 since the previous poll.

The Orediggers have their final two matches of the regular season this week. On Thursday, the Orediggers travel to Great Falls to take on the University of Providence before returning to Butte for their final match of the season. Tech hosts Montana State Northern this Saturday at 2 p.m. in the HPER Complex.

The Frontier Conference Tournament starts on Nov. 10 at the P.E. Center on Carroll College’s campus in Helena. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NAIA Volleyball National Championships that begins the following week.
