KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Montana Tech moved up one spot to No. 17 in the latest NAIA Volleyball Coaches Top 25 Poll.
The latest version was released today, four days after the Orediggers beat then-No. 16 Rocky Mountain College in three sets at the HPER Complex.
The Orediggers (22-6, 7-3) have won their last three Frontier Conference matches and sit in second-place in conference standings with No. 19 Providence and Rocky Mountain College, which fell out of the poll but received votes. Lewis-Clark State is in first place in the conference standings and ranked No. 24 in the poll.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, Association of Independent Institutions and Unaffiliated Groups. The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams in each conference.
The Orediggers travel to Helena to take on Carroll College (14-10, 5-5) tonight in the Carroll PE Center. First serve is set for 7. Montana Tech’s next home match is Saturday November 9th when they host Lewis-Clark State at 2 p.m.
The Frontier Conference tournament is set for the McLaughlin Center on the campus of the University of Providence in Great Falls Nov. 15-16.
