The Montana Tech Orediggers win 3-1 over the University of Providence Argos in front of a large crowd celebrating Senior night and Hall of Fame weekend with the 1988 Frontier Conference Championship Team being honored.
25-17, 27-25, 18-25, 25-21
The Argos come to the match 7-16, 0-5 in conference action while the Diggers came into the match 20-6, 5-0 in conference play.
The seniors honored at the start of the match were #6 Logan Reed, #5 Emma Carvo, and #1 Hannah Oggerino
The first two sets was a showcase of Digger front line power hitting and blocking, however, in the third set, the Argos changed the momentum and came back with hard hits, scrappy digs along with strong blocking to keep the lead throughout the set winning easily 25-18. But that would be the only set which they could claim. The Diggers went on to finish the fourth set 25-21 in a hard fought battle with the lead changing sides throughout. Senior #4, Olivia Muir hammered 4 kills in the last minutes to push the Orediggers to the victory.
The Orediggers play next Wednesday, October 26th 7pm at Carroll College.
