The Frontier Conference released the 2016-17 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Academic All-Conference Teams today, announce conference commissioner Kent Paulson. Montana Tech placed nine on the women’s team and three on the men’s team.
In total, 99 student-athletes received the honor. The women’s team had 66 while the men had 33. To be eligible for the team, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing, maintain a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled at school the previous two semesters.
For the Oredigger women: Bailey Armbruster, Kaylynn Coverdell, Kourtney Coverdell, Martha Dembek, Rachel Farris, Kimi Heng, Sammy McGree, Callee Remsen and Hattie Thatcher.
The Montana Tech men that made the list: Kale Guldseth, Sadiq Inuwa, and Sione Tuai.
McGree and Thatcher are graduates of Butte High, while Guldseth is a Butte Central grad.
MSU-Northern senior Natalee Faupel, also a Butte High grade, also made the grade.
