Oredigger men roll past Northwest University

HELENA — Five Montana Tech basketball players scored in double figures Friday night, and the Oredigger men rolled to an 85-66 win over Northwest University. (Stats)

The non-conference game was part of the Carroll Classic at Carroll College’s P.E. Center.

Blake Dittman scored 15 points to lead the way for Tech, which led 47-22 at halftime. Nick Fitts came off the bench to score 14 points, and Dylan Pannabecker and Taylor England each scored 11. Pannabecker also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists.

Carsun Dummer scored 10 points for Tech, which got eight points from Nate Ward, seven from Drew Huse, six from Derrius Collins, two from Luke Peynenborg and one from Christian Jones.

Nick Navarro came off the bench to score 17 points to lead Northwest University, an NAIA Division II team from Kirkland Washington. Ryan Ricks scored 12 points, and Hussayn Ford added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The 7-2 Orediggers close the tournament Saturday with a 5:30 p.m. game against the Salish Kootenai College.
