BILLINGS — Montana Tech’s men’s basketball team will play a home game in the Frontier Conference tournament.
The Orediggers wrapped up the No. 4 seed in the conference and a home playoff date by rolling to a 73-59 win over Rocky Mountain College Saturday night at the Fortin Education Center. (Stats)
The win is the fourth straight for the Orediggers, who close the regular season at 10-8 in conference and 18-11 overall.
Sindou Diallo and Dylan Pannabecker combined for 42 points, and Taylor England set the school record for rebounds in the victory.
Diallo scored 22 points, while Pannabecker tossed in 20.
England, a junior from Helena, scored 11 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to shatter the school record of 18 set by Jake Williams in 2007.
Troy Owens Jr. scored eight points in the win. Drew Huse added four, while Connor Kieckbusch and Christian Jones each scored three, and Cody Baumstarck scored two.
Clayton Ladine scored 22 points to lead the Bears, who lost their 16th straight game. Kelson Eiselein scored 13, and Sam Vining tossed in 12.
