Darko-Kelly named to first team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the Men’s Basketball All-America Teams today. Montana Tech’s Sindou Diallo was selected honorable mention by the NAIA for the second year in a row.
Diallo, a 6-foot-3 guard, was also selected first-team all-conference for the second straight year. The senior led the conference in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field. Diallo scored more than 30 points in three different games netting 35 in two contests. The Tacoma, Washington native averaged 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists this season.
Montana Tech finished the year with a 13-11 overall schedule and 12-8 in Frontier Conference action.
University of Providence star Zaccheus Darko-Kelly was named a first-team All-American for the second straight season. Jovan Sljivancanin of Carroll College earned a spot on the second team, while Montana Western’s Jalen Hodges joined Diallo with an honorable mention.
