Ogolin, Weldon, Williams win Silver Bow Open

Butte golfers Hailey Ogolin, Isaiah Weldon and Alexis Williams topped their respective age groups at the Silver Bow Open Tuesday at the Butte Country Club.

The tournament was the second stop of the South West Montana Junior Golf Tour.

Ogolin fired an 83 to win the Suzann Pettersen Division for girls 16-17. Helena’s Rowan Rankin placed second at 91.

Williams carded a 97 to take the top spot in the Stacy Lewis Division for girls 14-15. Madi O’Mara of Helena took second at 111.

Weldon won the lighting-shortened Rory McIlroy Division for boys 14-15. Weldon was 7 over par through 16 holes when the tournament was called because of a severe storm.

Butte’s Houston Green placed second at plus 9.

Clancy golfer Logan Teegarden shot an 81 to win the Tiger Woods Division for boys 16-17. He edged Butte golfers Eric Fogerty and Will Kilmer by one shot.

In the 9-hole Phil Mickelson Division for boys 12-13, Max Feight of Whitehall led the way with a 40. Teigan Isakson of Fairfield took second at 43, while Butte’s Erik Casagranda finished third at 48.

The third stop of the tour is next Monday at the Hamilton Masters. In all, the junior tour features eight tournaments.
