Tech’s Hailey Ogolin tied for 11th at L-C State meet

LEWISTON, Idaho — Montana Tech freshman Hailey Ogolin fired a 90 Monday at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club and sits in 11th place at the Lewis-Clark State Invitational.

The Butte High graduate is tied with Rocky Mountain College teammates NellieAnn Enderby and Abigail Venzor at 18 over par. Rocky’s Kyla Clancy shot a 78 to take the first-round lead. Gina Kowolcuk is one shot back at 79.

Host Lewis-Clark State shot a 341 to take a one-shot lead over Rocky to top the team standings. Carroll College is third at 367, followed by Montana Tech at 398 and MSU-Northern at 403.

Montana Tech’s Megan Steach is tied for 17th at 96. Oredigger Taryn Campbell shot a 98, while Tech freshman Ashten McCloskey, also a Butte High graduate, hit 114.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
