No. 3 Carroll men pull away from Orediggers

HELENA — No. 3 Carroll College outscored Montana Tech 42-29 in the second half Tuesday night, breaking open a close game for a 79-61 victory over the Orediggers. (Stats)

The Frontier Conference men’s basketball game was played in the P.E. Center.

Matt Wyman scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Saints, who beat the Orediggers for the second time this season. The 6-foot-7 senior guard hit 9 f 11 shots from the field in the win.

Dane Warp and Ife Kalejaiye each scored 16 points for the Saints (17-2, 6-1). Match Burnham tossed in 22.

Taylor England scored 22 points to lead the Orediggers. The Helena native hit 9 of 10 shots from the field. Troy Owens Jr. added 11 points for Tech. Derrius Collins tossed in10.

The Orediggers (13-6, 3-4) also got six points from Dylan Pannabecker, five from Carson Dummer, three from Christian Jones and two from Nate Ward.

Tech will hit the road Saturday to take on Rocky Mountain College in Billings.
