BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech wrapped up the last home match of the regular season against Carroll College as the No. 10 Orediggers defeat the Saints 3-1.
The Orediggers (21-4, 7-2) downed the Saints for the second time during the conference season and third match of the year winning 25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 25-19.
The senior front line of Maureen Jessop, Olivia Muir, and Taylor Henley with 34 of the 48 total kills. The Saints finished with 42 kills in the match. Tech finished with a .134 hitting percentage against the Saints .118.
Muir had a match-high 15 kills with a .282 hitting percentage. Jessop had 12 kills and Henley put seven down. Muir and Henley had three blocks a piece.
Rhys Layton had 24 assists and McKenna Kaelberfinished with 18.
Jenna Jablanov had 20 digs and Sarah Hopcrofthad 19.
Mara Lynch led the Saints with 13 kills and a .267 hitting percentage.
Montana Tech travels to Rocky Mountain tomorrow to make up their match from last week.
