No. 1 Falcons turn back Butte High boys

BILLINGS — Butte High gave the No. 1 Class AA boys’ basketball team in the state a run for the money Friday night.

Matt Fuhrman scored 12 points to lead the Falcons in the defensive battle as Skyview improved to 9-1 in Eastern AA play and 15-2 overall with a 44-37 win.

The Bulldogs led 9-7 after one quarter before trailing 21-20 at halftime.

Dallas Cook scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to pace the Bulldogs, who fell to 1-8 and 3-13 despite the solid effort.

Butte High also got seven points from Peter Granger, six from Jake Dennehy, five from Cory Farsveet, three from Zach Bunney and two from Killian O’Leary.

Butte High plays at Billings West Saturday.
