No. 1 Eagles top Bulldogs 41-9

CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington was too much for Montana Western Saturday night on “The Inferno.”

Vernon Adams Jr. passed for 360 yards and five touchdowns as the reigning Big Sky Conference champions beat Montana Western 41-9 in a non-conference game. Game stats

The No. 1 team in the FCS also got 108 yards and a touchdown from running back Mario Brown as Eastern Washington improved to 2-0.

Tyler Hulse passed for 143 yards and a touchdown to lead the Bulldogs, who fell to 1-1 overall. Hulse hooked up with George Sherwood for a 27-yard TD in the third quarter.

Western plays host to Rocky Mountain College next Saturday.
