Nick Bowsher named Tech interim AD

Montana Tech has named Nick Bowsher as interim athletic director.

The move comes after David Lau resigned as the Montana Tech AD last week after less than four months on the job.

Bowsher has been at the university since August 2011, serving most recently as the assistant athletic director of facilities and communications. Currently, he directs sports information, marketing, communications, facilities, and game day management in the athletic department.

He will bring his experience with corporate sales and fundraising to his new interim role. Prior to coming to Montana Tech, he served as the assistant general manager of the Helena Brewers Baseball Club, minor league affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

“Nick has been at Montana Tech for the past 3 years and has done an outstanding job in supporting students and student-athletes,” Montana Tech Chancellor Don Blackketter said. “I have great confidence in Nick during this transition period.”

The university will begin the search for a permanent athletic director shortly. 2 comments
