The NFL High School Player Development Football Camp is coming to Butte.

Butte High coach Arie Grey and his defending Class AA State champion Bulldogs will host the camp, which is sponsored by the Montana National Guard, June 1-2. The Camp is free for all current eighth through 11th grade players in the area. Registration for the camp closes on May 15.

The NFL High School Player Development Program focuses on character development, life skills and fundamental football skills. Each participant will receive a planner with information regarding concussion awareness, NCAA eligibility, social media consciousness, time management tips and many more pertinent topics.

The camp also offers a structured, college-style practice that focus on football fundamentals that will benefit any player, regardless of what scheme or style of football his team runs.

In addition, each player who participates in the program is eligible to potentially compete in the NFL’s National 7-on-7 Tournament, where each NFL franchise is represented by local high school players who play against teams from all over the country.

Players from the camp in Butte will have a chance to earn a spot at a tournament hosted by the Seattle Seahawks on June 23.
