WHITEFISH — The All-Frontier Conference football team was announced this week, and Carroll College senior Nate McGree received first-team recognition.
McGree, a 2017 Butte Central graduate, made the team as a linebacker. That came after he registered 25 total tackles in five games. That includes 11 solo tackles, two tackles for a loss. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound McGree also picked up as sack while helping Carroll College win a share of the Frontier Conference title.
Eastern Oregon senior quarterback Kai Quinn was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Chase Van Wyck took home the top defensive award. College of Idaho running back Nick Calzaretta is the conference’s nominee for NAIA Player of the Year.
Carroll coach Troy Purcell and Eastern Oregon coach Tim Camp shared the Coach of the Year honors.
Montana Tech and Montana Western opted out of the spring season over safety concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic.
