KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the second time in eight days, Butte High graduate Natalee Faupel received an All-American recognition.

On Thursday, the MSU-Northern guard/forward was named to the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball All-American team. Faupel was named to the first team.

Last week, Faupel, a 2013 Butte High graduate who starred in basketball, soccer and track for the Bulldogs, was named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association NAIA All-American Team.

Faupel is the lone women’s player from the Frontier Conference to make the first team. Erin Legel of the University of Great Falls and Caelyn Orlandi of Lewis-Clark State College made the second team, while Katie Estey of Carroll College and Brittany Tackett of LC State made the third team.

Montana Western’s Aniese Palmore received an honorable mention along with MSU-Northern’s Jacy Thompson, Rocky Mountain College’s Whitney Mitchell, Carroll’s Cassidy Hashley and Great Falls’ Nneka Nnadi

On the men’s side, LC-State’s Jacob Wiley was the lone player from the Frontier Conference to make the first team.

Montana Western’s Dexter Williams Jr. and Carroll’s Zach Taylor made the second team. Montana Western’s Shyke Smalls received an honorable mention, as did Carroll’s Ryan Imhoff and Match Burnham, and LC State’s Doug McDaniel.
