Muir and Kaelber Claim Frontier POW

Montana Tech’s Olivia Muir and McKenna Kaelber were named Frontier Conference/Erck Hotels Volleyball Players of the Week.

The Orediggers (15-6, 3-0) are undefeated in Frontier Conference action defeating Carroll College 3-2 and Rocky Mountain 3-0 last week.

Muir, a 5-foot-11 senior outside hitter, was named the Frontier Attacker of the Week. The Smoot, Wyoming native averaged 3.38 kills per set last week finishing with 27 total kills in the two matches. Muir recorded 17 kills and just one hitting error against
Rocky on Saturday finishing with a .571 hitting percentage for the match.

Kaelber, a 5-foot-11 setter from Pasco, Washington, was named the Frontier Setter of the Week. The senior averaged 11.38 assist per match last week. Kaelber had a season high 50 assists against Carroll College and had 91 assists in the two matches.

The Orediggers host Montana Western this Wednesday on Kelvin Sampson Court at the HPER Complex. The match starts at 7 p.m.
