The Butte Muckers won the Copper King 16u Invitational, which was held Saturday and Sunday at Copper Mountain.
On Sunday, the Muckers beat the Dillon Cubs B team 14-1 before knocking off the Great Falls Chargers 10-5 in the championship game.

The Muckers led 6-1 before breaking the game open with a six runs in the fourth inning, scoring on a two-run triple by Tommy Martz, an RBI double by Justin Summers, an RBI triple by Alex Kober, a groundout by Austin Gerry and an RBI single by Ryan Schultz.
Summers went 3 for 3, while Liam Sommer was impressive on the hill. Sommer held the Dillon Cubs B hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Martz got the win for Butte Muckers. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered one hit.
The Muckers tacked on another two runs in the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Gerry singled, plating Summers. That was followed up by Will Brandon’s single, bringing home Cole Walker.
The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Great Falls couldn’t get anything going while Trey Berger was on the hill.
Berger surrendered no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his four innings of work.
Will Hoagland, Reynolds, Kober and Walker, helped lead the Mucker offense, combining for nine hits and seven RBIs.
The game was never in doubt after the second, as Butte Muckers scored six runs. Reynolds’ two-run double highlighted the outburst.
