The Butte Muckers went 1-1 during the first day of a tournament Saturday at Copper Mountain Park.
Butte fell 4-3 in extra innings to the Great Falls Chargers before pounding Conrad Cowboys 23-3 in a game called by the mercy rule after three innings.
The Muckers take on Dillon at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Great Falls Chargers 4, Butte Muckers 3 (8 innings)
Maverick Thomas hit an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning to send the Chargers to the victory.
Trey Burger, Bryson Henningsen and Austin Gerry reached on base hits as the Muckers scored all three runs in the sixth inning.

Cole Walker was solid on the mound as the Butte bats erupted to rout the Cowboys.
Justin Summers went 4 for 4 with a three-run home run to highlight the Mucker offense.
Each batter in Butte’s starting lineup had a hit in the win. The highlights included doubles by Tommy Martz and Trey Berger, with multiple hits from Will Hoagland, Robin Bagley and Will Brandon.
Clint Judisch and Kale Larson doubled to lead the Cowboys.
