The Butte Muckers walked off with a win Tuesday night.
Gavin Vetter drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the Muckers a 4-3 win over the Dillon Cubs B team on Miners Field at 3 Legends Stadium.
The schedule called for a doubleheader, but that was moved to a single nine-inning game because of lightning and rain delays.
The free pass scored Kevin Donaldson, who also walked. Walks by Anthony Knott and Jakob Nielsen moved Donaldson to third. Vetter drew ball four with one out.
The run was Donaldson’s second of the game. He also singled in the win. Gian Reynolds, Max Demarais, Brady Garner and Kadyn Lester also singled.
Ethan Edwards pitched the ninth inning to get the win. Demarais started and gave the Muckers five solid innings. Garner relieved him in the sixth.
Conner Vezina doubled, and Connor Curnow hit two singles to lead the Cubs. Johnny Reiser, Cole Pulliam, Jack Gibson and Cole Johnston singled.
The Muckers head to Bozeman Thursday to play in a tournament hosted by the Bozeman B.
