Muckers score 10 in 7th to shock Anaconda A’s

ANACONDA — The Butte Muckers scored 10 runs in the seventh inning Wednesday night to stun the Anaconda A’s with a 15-12 victory at Washoe Park.

The win came after the A’s built a 9-0 lead over the first three innings.

Butte scored five in the fourth, only to see the A’s extend the lead to 12-5 with a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

The Muckers did their damage with eight hits in the final frame.

Gian Reynolds hit a single, double and a triple to highlight the Butte attack. Ethan Edwards hit three singles, while Brady Garner tripled. Rye Doherty hit a double and a single for Butte. Max Demaris, Kaydn Lester, Ethan Cunningham, and Hunter Salcido singled in the win.

Lester relieved Demarais and got the victory on the bump.

Masen Worl poked two hits and scored four runs to lead the A’s. Luke Jensen smoked a triple and two singles, and Sean Kellegher hit two doubles.

Also for Anaconda, Patte Galle singled and scored three runs, Brandon Shaw hit a pair of singles, and Connor Sampson and Julian Callison each hit one.

The Muckers will be in Dillon Friday through Sunday for the Maybelle Arthur tournament. The Muckers will play the Gallatin Valley Posse on Friday before taking on Mission Valley and Dillon on Saturday.

Sunday’s play is determined by seeds.
